Savannah Integrated Farms (SIF) is an integrated tomato farming and processing company originally co-owned by Borno State Government and foreign investors, but now privatized. SIF needed to carry out Environmental Audit as part of Due Diligence requirement by Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) for certification as an Export Procession Factory (EPF) in Nigeria. The study was conducted to the standard of the Federal Ministry of Environment. The study was successfully completed, and SIF was granted the EPF status.

Title Environmental Audit of Atlantic Shrimpers
Description: This study was initially carried out as part of Due Diligence requirement by Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) for certification as an Export Procession Factory (EPF) in Nigeria. The study was carried out to the standard of the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Environment and determined the level of regulatory compliance and social and environmental liabilities associated with the operations of Atlantic Shrimpers. The study was successfully completed, and Atlantic Shrimpers was granted the EPF status. Thereafter, the report was submitted to Dutch Development Bank (FMO) as part of supporting document for borrowing funds. FMO was satisfied with the Audit Report and required the implementation of corrective actions recommended in the audit, which resulted in Biogeochem being retained to coordinate the implementation. The job was successfully done, and the loan has since been granted by FMO.

Description: Obajana dam is a small (12m embankment height) proposed for the supply of water to Obajana Cement Plant. The study was part of four Category A EIAs associated with the Greenfield cement project in Obajana for which a foreign equity investment of $479 Million has been secured.
